The Arts & Science Co-op Program at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) is a premier talent pipeline connecting employers in the Food & Beverage manufacturing sector with highly skilled, adaptable students.

With access to students from over 58 programs across Humanities, Life and Health Sciences, Physical and Environmental Sciences, Computer Science, Statistics, and Mathematics, employers can also tap into talent from other U of T campuses, including Engineering and Management programs. Through full-time paid work terms of 4, 8, or 12 months, undergraduate students gain hands-on professional experience while helping organizations advance projects in research, operations, quality assurance, product development, digital initiatives, and process optimization.

What sets Arts & Science Co-op apart is its interdisciplinary strength and professional readiness. Students bring a versatile mix of analytical, technical, and communication skills—from Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Statistics, Computer Science, and Data Mining—enabling them to contribute to roles in supply chain analysis, product formulation, food safety compliance, consumer research, marketing analytics, and sustainability initiatives. With over 55 hours of career and professional readiness training, employers consistently highlight students’ initiative, adaptability, and ability to quickly integrate into operational workflows.

The Co-op team supports employers at every stage—developing job descriptions, posting roles, managing recruitment logistics, conducting site visits, and guiding performance discussions. With three hiring cycles annually (January, May, September), Food & Beverage companies can access flexible, high-quality talent to accelerate research, innovation, and operational projects.

Arts & Science Co-op students deliver tangible impact on operational efficiency, process improvement, product testing, sustainability initiatives, digital reporting, and data analysis. Their interdisciplinary training equips them to help companies adopt emerging technologies and respond to evolving market demands.

Partner with Arts & Science Co-op to elevate your projects and build a skilled workforce. Connect with a Co-op team member at uoft.me/ascoop or meet them at the booth at the summit.
