Erica Kao currently serves as an Innovation, Nutrition, and Regulatory Expert at Lactalis Canada, where her professional focus centers on bridging consumer demand, product innovation, and public health priorities.
Her passion for these areas was significantly shaped during her studies at McGill University, where she was inspired by Professor Laurette Dubé’s initiatives aimed at transforming the food ecosystem. This experience motivated Erica to advocate for meaningful societal and economic changes through business and economic strategies that positively impact public health.
In addition to her role at Lactalis, Erica is the founder of AT · EASE · NUTRITION, a clinic based in Toronto, where she advises patients on holistic healthy eating and lifestyle practices. In her free time, she volunteers as a program lecturer at retirement residences and children’s programs.
She holds a graduate degree in Nutrition & Consumer Behavior (MSc) from McGill University and is registered with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
