Since 2019, Dan has led the Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s sustainability efforts across the fresh produce industry. His work focuses on promoting sustainable packaging, minimizing food waste, reducing the supply chain’s carbon footprint, and mitigating sustainability reporting risks. As Secretary of the Sustainability Committee, Dan collaborates with industry leaders spanning growers to retailers to advance sustainability priorities in Canada and globally. With experience in academia, the private sector, and the Canadian government, Dan assists CPMA members in enhancing the fresh produce sector’s sustainability.
Dan holds degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Ottawa and McGill University. He is also the creator of Jishudō, a martial arts-inspired practice promoting emotional and mental balance. Dan resides in Ottawa with his wife and two children.
