Susan Abel

Principal

Susan has been a leader in the food industry for over 30 years, primarily in food research, quality, process development and implementation all the while ensuring complex regulatory requirements are met.  With a degree in Dairy Science from the University of Guelph, Susan has worked in diverse fields including dairy, grains processing, and as a lobbyist for the food and consumer products industry.  Now working as an independent consultant, her broad knowledge base and wide-ranging network provides her clients with in-depth regulatory and technical insights to the food industry.

Over the past three years, she has had the privilege of guiding some of Canada’s most creative food entrepreneurs through regulatory mazes in Canada and abroad.

She lives in Cobourg with her family where she enjoys sailing, horses, and attempting to play the violin.
